Site is saying "Your connection is not private", after taking SSL

Hello,

I took a SSL Certificate from Comodo, as suggested by you.

I implemented the Certificate, and tried log in to my site by https://(mysite).ml/wp-admin
then it is saying "Your connection is not private", what is the problem?

Most Awaiting....

  • WordPress might be redirecting you back to the non secure version of your site. You need to edit your WordPress installation URL to the https version to make WordPress use SSL.

  • Thank you so much, for responding!!!
    Currently, I uninstalled WP.
From COMODO, I pasted the Certificate and Clicked on Upload.
But no massage is coming, simply the page is refreshing...

Installing a valid SSL certificate doesn't magically force everyone to use it. Check the KB article on how to move your website to https for all the steps: https://infinityfree.net/support/how-to-make-your-website-use-https/

    Thanks Again, But!!!
Checked my website on an SSL Checker. As suggested in Help Article)

But it is saying "learningwithexperts.ml does not resolve to an IP address. Please make sure your DNS records are set up correctly."

    How should I resolve it...

    Okay!!! I've managed DNS now...

Now SSL Checker Say's "The certificate is not trusted in all web browsers. You may need to install an Intermediate/chain certificate to link it to a trusted root certificate. Learn more about this error. You can fix this by following Comodo's Certificate Installation Instructions for your server platform (use these instructions for InstantSSL). Pay attention to the parts about Intermediate certificates."

How should I install according to this Tutorial: Certificate Installation : NGINX

Also this massage is Appearing when I clicked Upload Certificate:
WARNING, YOU SHOULD AWAYS TAKE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR PRIVATE KEY AND CERTIFICATE, IF THESE ARE LOST YOU WILL NEED TO RE-PURCHASE THE SSL CERTIFICATE !

    How to Resolve this...

  • And also, when I tried re-installing WP, through Softaculous,

As HTTPS it is saying "A trusted SSL Certificate was not found"

It's not possible to install intermediary certificates here, but most browsers will accept the certificate anyways.

Like the message says? Back up the certificate and private key somewhere safely?

    What is saying that?

  • Please tell me weather I've installed SSL Certificate Correctly,

And what are the steps to Backup those key's...

  • I've copied those to Notepad and kept that file in my pc

    Sure, what's the domain?

Just copy the text to whatever you want and store that text safely. Whether that's a Google Docs document, a Word file on an external hard drive or a plain text file on Dropbox is up to you.

  • I kept backup, my domain: learningwithexperts.ml

After keeping backup also still the massage appears....

The SSL/TLS tool can't see whether you backed up the certificates safely. It's always shown there as a reminder that you should make sure you have it backed up properly.

https://learningwithexperts.ml/ opens for me with a green lock, so the certificate was installed successfully. Note that browsers tend to cache old certificates, so it may take a day or two for the SSL warning to disappear for you. But rest assured that everyone else can see your site without SSL errors.

  • Thank you so much, does it mean I can install WP now as https...

  • @Admin,

Fix the script? I don't know what your script is supposed to do or actually does!
