Connection Timed Out on websites

edited 9:14AM in System Issues

THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED ALREADY. IF YOU GET SIMILAR ISSUES, YOU'RE NOT AFFECTED BY THIS ISSUE.

Many websites at this time are inaccessible and only show timeout issues. We're aware of the issue and working to get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Right now, the issue seems to be largely concentrated on hosting volumes vol6_2 and vol6_4, but there may be other volumes with issues as well.

What are the symptoms of these issues?

  • Connection Timed Out errors from your browser.
  • Cloudflare shows "522 - Connection Timed Out" errors.
  • FTP being unreachable.

How do I know which hosting volume my website is on?

You can see your hosting volume in the control panel. After logging in to the control panel, check the "Hosting Volume" field in the sidebar.

When will this issue be resolved?

We're doing our best to get this issue resolved as soon as possible. That is the most specific I can be at this time. If there is any news, I will update this post.

What can I do?

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do from your end right now. If there is a good workaround, I will update this topic.

  • I just removed my domain from my account, created a new account (hosting volume vol11_1) and registered my domain in this new account, and still can't see the website.

  • so the way to do it is to register a brand new account with vpn in usa wich is 14_2
and you can optionally use cloudflare to cache in cdn
i know that this is not proper but what else can we do

also i will really appreciate the option to comperes and decompress files in the online file manager because uploading 5000 files via ftp 3 times was around 1 day of waiting

  • 14_7 seems affected too, didn't had this problem earlier, so it must be happened not too long ago.

  • Not worked

  • my site is also not open i try to many time but not working
    http://jainassociate.in/
    Hosting Volume vol3_2

  • My site is too slow, so visitors thinking there is no such website. Admin of infinite free please fix the problem as soon as you can.

Recreating a domain on a different volume assigns a different IP address on the domain as well. So you need to wait a day or two for DNS propagation.

For your information, account distribution is pretty random. It should be mostly based on which server has the most room (although that clearly didn't work very well in this case). You don't need to spoof your IP address location to get an account on a different server, your location does not affect where your account is created.

Do you have a domain to check?

Your site is working fine from here. The SSL certificate isn't work, but as far as I know that's not a symptom of this issue.

  • My website seems to be down as well on vol6_4. The domain is http://greekgamingnation.rf.gd/

  • Quick update: I added a section with symptoms to the original post, to help make sure this discussion is only used for this particular issue, and not other unrelated issues.

Confirmed that the website is down from where I am.

  • The volume of mine is vol5_4
and even then my site is offline
    what do I do?

  • I need my hosting to return as soon as possible, has people waiting for it to return.

  • Oh nevermind, it goes back online now @Admin
It's https://joo-nath.cf (ssl seems goes invalid because its info was changed to all wildcard, which isn't supposed to happen. Maybe it's one of Lets Encrypt problem)

  • @havgerinosGR

    Your website now works.

  • Is the problem resolved?

  • Until there's no information from Admin we don't know, stop asking it on&on, you'll be informed as soon as this will be done.

Create a new topic and post your domain in it so people can check it? There are many thousands of websites on each volume.

If your website works, then yes, the problem is resolved.

  • All sites on my account is down
    Am using vol13_4

My hosting volume is vol6_2 but I'm also having this Error=> connection time out!

  • Volume vol5_4 with megadupersite.ml domain is offline DNS timeout?

  • vol5_3 too has been affected, please check it

  • vol14_5 affected too. marena.ml

  • Now it is working.

  • vol6_2 is affected as well. my website not working or opening at all

  • The official topic was not entirely correct, the issue affects more than just the two volumes listed. I've updated it now with more accurate information.

I'm not entirely sure how much the hosting volumes play into things. My own observation was that the issue seems to concentrate on specific volumes, but I also know it's all interconnected and you cannot really compare it with a server being down.

  • Please fix it now!
    I NEED my Website

  • my website is makestuffwithmax.ml

  • this is why I'm not going to be using Infinityfree anymore for my site

  • the server is down? i can't access my website http://dihkepolu.rf.gd and the subdomain.

That's what the topic says, doesn't it?

We're working on it. Unfortunately, this is InfinityFree, not InfinityGauntlet, so I can't snap my fingers and make the problem go away. We actually have people doing investigation, debugging, testing, editing, managing, deploying, verifying and so on. All of that takes time.
