Confused about running a php script without running a web page

I’m new to infinity and trying to have a php script run to interface with MySql to retrieve a data and echo that data out. I use http://www.mysite.infinityfreeapp.com/CheckExist1.php to access the php file.

I cannot tell if I am hitting the php file on the web site as just a bunch of gibberish is returned and at the end stating I need some java script enabled. Status does come back as 200.

Is this possible to do with Infinity site or am I just messing up somewhere? Any suggestions?

What are you hitting it with?
