Just created email and logged in successfully, send screenshot of page with data that you’ve input as login and password(password hidden by default).

I did the same thing, and I am having the same problem. I created an email address for my domain in the CPanel. When I tried to access this email using the RoundCubeMail program, I also get a login failed message. Which login are we supposed to use?

The credentials you are going to use is your Email Account credentials not your Client Area credentials.

Thank you. I did use the Email Account credentials. I even deleted the email and tried again thinking I may have put in the wrong password. But I still get the login failed message. Also, my account already had an mx record of mx.byetcluster.com. Is that supposed to be there? Thank you.

Yes, that mx record is a must and can’t be deleted and you should also add mx.epizy.com too.

Thank you. Yes, I did add mx.epizy.com with my domain name. I still get login failed. I decided to forward my newly created email address to another address, and this works. I appreciate your help.

Did you check this article? https://infinityfree.net/support/cannot-login-to-webmail/

As it says there, only use letters and numbers in your password. I suspect the dollar signs are causing issues.

@Admin why Information about special characters only in knowledge base article, block registering passwords like this on client and server sides?

Maybe it’s about roundcube’s “lazy thing”. Something we (and also Admin) – as user – couldn’t freely to modify. I wouldn’t say what it was, because it’s just my wild assumption. Just sayin

PS: Roundcube is third-party web application

@Joo_Nath email account being created on cPanel, not roundcube, I think a little regular expression isn’t so hard to implement

issue resolved thanks

Sorry, I had missed this article. The special characters in my password were causing the login failed issue in my situation. Thank you for the information and for your help.

You’re right, this should be fixed in the hosting system itself, either by fixing whatever encoding issue is causing the password checking to break or by blocking the special characters upon entry. Sadly, that’s something iFastNet needs to fix and I can’t. Writing the article is the best I can do.
