How can I get my website online

Hey Admin

I have build my website www.prettylittleaspects.com with wordpress but it doesn’t seem to go online. At first I just had the homepage of Infinityfree so I tried to search for a solution. I saw this on your forum https://forum.infinityfree.com/discussion/1922/my-homepage-shows-the-default-page-by-infinityfree-not-the-wordpress-page-ive-installed. I did what was said there but now it gives me ‘Enter the code’. I can only see my website when it’s with wp www.prettylittleaspects.com/wp/

Can you help me so my website will be online?

HI

your website is doing well in both cases
you probably have problems with browser cache, so try to clean browser cache
or use some other browser or device

btw. if you do not want to have a /WP/ in the address then

your website is available with /wp/ because you installed it with /wp/. Try reinstalling the site, but this time make sure WordPress is not installed to a subdirectory

check the “Directory” field in Softaculous, it should be empty if you do not want a subdirectory

how it seems to me
you have two identical installations of wordpress
uninstall this one that has /wp/ as the start dir

https://softaculous.com/docs/How_to_remove_a_installation

or click top right icon with some “box” (mouse over will tell you “all installations”)
and then choose the one you do not need (this with wp in URL)

if you leave both installations
you will have doubled results at google search (bad SEO)
and you use extra resources from the server unnecessarily

He/She can customize the subdirectory name,
You can just change /wp/ to /blog/ and like forums /vanilla/ to /forums/ or whatever you like to name your subdirectory.
You can change the name of the subdirectory by changing the dir name of the app you are installing on softaculous before installation and let softaculous do the job! ?

Please note that while that works for some software, not all software can be moved so easily. Many scripts have a setting in their configuration file or database which tells them though which domain name the site should be accessed. If that setting does not match the actual location of your website, the website will go down.
