How do I overwrite or rewrite the index2.html file
…? uploaded from here with fileZilla

ALL GREAT … all super fast … but no overwrite even when I declared it, sheeze.

Or should I just be renaming it index.html
?

index2.html belongs to the system, so you don’t have all the authority over it (no edits, etc.)
but you can delete it

briefly - delete index2.html and upload your index.html file or PHP
