Just revoke the SSL cert from the client area.
You can also delete the SSL cert from the control panel.

You can just upload the new private key and certificate. No need to delete anything beforehand. Uploading a new private key automatically removes the existing certificate.
Revoking the SSL certificate is an option with some providers, but it won’t affect your ability to replace it with a different one.
