How do I move wordpress to the root directory of my website? (I installed wordpress with softaculos)
It should already be installed in the root (/htdocs) unless you told it otherwise.
You can always move the files using FileZilla

To add to what Greenreader9 said, if you do move it, remember to update the site url where appropriate (in wp-config.php and I think somewhere in the database).
I think you meant /htdocs.
