[OBSOLETE] How to use Freenom with Infinityfree

Many people have asked on this forum how to use Freenom
Actually me too, https://forum.infinityfree.com/t/how-in-the-world-do-i-freenom/40964
Well, now that I know a bit more than I used to, and I wanted to teach the newbies

  1. Go to Freenom
  2. Search for a domain
  3. Enter the domain name of your choice

  1. Select a domain available

  2. Click on the checkout button

  3. Click on “USE DNS”, and then “Use your own DNS”
    image
Change the nameservers to ns1.infinityfree.com and ns2.infinityfree.com
You can leave the IP blank

  4. Create an account by social sign in, or manual

  1. Add your domain to InfinityFree
Now, this is fairly simple. If you have a domain available, you can add a new domain, and enter the domain name in the “Website URL” box.
There! You created your own domain using Feenom! Well done!
  2. Using Cloudflare (Optional)
Step 1 - Go to dash.cloudflare.com, login, or sign up…
Step 2 - Configure your website
    Stop when it says nameservers
Now, go to Freenom, and click on nameservers
Replace these nameservers with Cloudflare’s nameservers
Step 3 - Save the nameservers on Freenom
Please note that these changes can take up to 72 hours to take effect.
Until then, sit back, relax, and drink a cup of coffee! :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

they have, but they dont respond. I have a hard time registering a domain with freenom on my iPad.

Oh
lol, well what’s the point if they have a customer support email and they don’t respond

So they don’t get bad ratings at first glance, but they’ll get one anyway about ‘staff doesn’t respond at all’.

freenom is also notorious for randomly suspending domains for “fraud” when really its when you get alot of visitors to your site.

No wonder my domain got fraud manuthecoder.ga

But can you reactivate it if it is fraud?
And even if you cant, do you know of any alternatives?
My site might get a lot of visitors in the future…

you may need to make another account and reregister it.

I am just going to add here that if every domain you try to buy is “Not available” all you have to do is search the entire domain (like “mynewdomain.ml”) in the search, and if the domain is actually available, it will automatically add it to your care, bypassing the non-functional “Buy Now” button.
Hope this was helpful!

EDIT: Obviously, as freenom no longer works, neither does this trick
