Whenever I create an .htaccess file in htdocs folder it gets erased as soon as it is saved. I tried creating it in File Manager and FTP but the same thing happens. I’m using the free epizy.com hosting. Please help.

Can you pinpoint if there is any content in the .htaccess file causing this issue? Can you save an empty .htaccess file? Can you save the content in a file with another name?
Previously, whenever I create an empty .htaccess, it gets erased after a few seconds. But it is working fine now. Thanks.
