Recently I have enabled Cloudflare through the control panel with a custom domain to try to use SSL and create DNS txt records for google search console verification. I logged in with my email and the control panel password I had been given and I went to the domain I wanted to create a DNS record on, but I received the message in the screenshot above saying “Your DNS zone file is hosted by Byethost, a Cloudflare partner. Changes to your DNS settings must be made through the Byethost website” Is there a way for me to create DNS records?
Not if you’re using Cloudflare’s integration of the Control Panel. You may consider to add the website with the second method (add the Domain as https://yourdomain, where yourdomain can be replaced with your domain) and use the HTML file method to add the website to Google Search Console.
Thanks for the help! I now have my site verified.
