And probably a lot less money.
I was hopeful about services like that once. CoinHive was once quite promising for that, where the service generated cryptocurrenty in the browser as an alternative to ads. But they were too late with implementing a proper consent solution, and got blasted in the media as “cryptojacking malware” and now they are gone.
I wonder what name they’ll come up with if Arc.io or similar initiative becomes popular. Bandwidth-jacking? Net-jacking?
