Lost my website, cannot access it

Hi,

So I just launched http://www.cslandscapingservices.com a day or so ago and everything was published properly. However now my website it’s gone for some reason. Prior to this error I removed the domain from the “Aliases (Park Domains” section to add the domain to the Add On Domains instead. I can’t believe this would have disabled it.

I do have a backup file (.tar) saved in my desktop. I tried creating a new account and then importing the file as a backup so I could restore with no luck. Any help you can provide will greatly be appreciated.

Here’s my current irectory path: /home/vol14_2/epizy.com/epiz_23206528/cslandscapingservices.com
URL: http://cslandscapingservices.com

Prior to this, I had the following under Add On Domains:

cslandscapingservices.com

/home/vol14_2/epizy.com/epiz_23206528/cslandscapingservices.com

cslandscapingservices.epizy.com

/home/vol14_2/epizy.com/epiz_23206528/htdocs

Thanks!

Hi,
I can visit your files here but the files are gone just what you said.
Could you please try to upload your files back to your account? Are all the files already there?
If you add a domain as an Alias Domain (Parked Domain), then the domain is linked to the folder of another website. If you create it as an Addon Domain, the domain will get it's own folder where you can upload a website for just that domain.

So if you remove the domain as an Alias Domain and add it as an Addon Domain, the domain will point to a different folder, which may contain a different website (or no website at all).

Please double check which folder is the right one for your domain name, and please make sure your website files are uploaded to that specific folder.

Thanks so much for your help. So I put the domains the way I had it before (created the sub domain cslandscapingservices.epizy.com and added back cslandscapingservices.com to Park Domain).

Also I’m checking the directories and noticed that the right htdocs folder it’s outside of the cslandscapingservices.com folder & cslandscaping.epizy.com folder. Refer to the screenshot attached.

Each of those domain directories have their own htdocs which are completely empty. What do you suggest doing?

Should I copy the htdocs and uploaded to each folder?

As as always thanks so much for your assistance. You guys are awesome!

I admit, the way accounts and directories are set up is not particularly pretty or logical.

When you first create an account, the first domain name you add it assigned to the main htdocs directory. Any domain added later on (except for a parked domain) gets it's own folder.

If you delete the initial domain name from an account and then add it again, it will not be added to the htdocs directory again. So cslandscapingservices.epizy.com is not assigned to the /htdocs directory, but to the /cslandscapingservices.epizy.com/htdocs directory now. Sadly, there is no way to assign a domain to the original /htdocs folder again.

So if you want to have both the subdomain and the .com domain serve the same content, you can keep the domain names as-is, but you will need to move all files from the /htdocs folder to the /cslandscapingservices.epizy.com/htdocs folder.

If you don't care about the subdomain and only want the .com domain, you can remove both domains from your account and add cslandscapingservices.com as an Addon Domain. Then, you need to move your files from /htdocs to /cslandscapingservices.com/htdocs

Perfect, this worked like a charm. Thanks so much for your help! I appreciate it!
