Max user connections exceeded even though only phpBB is accessing the database. All other windows and computers have been logged out

I know that I can, of course, upgrade my account, but don’t say that to me! I will always remain a free user.

I am logged out of all accounts.

Well like you said, yes, you could upgrade.

This issue is often caused by softwares that don’t close database connections. So while your just sitting on a page, it had an open database connection.

How to fix this? Thats more difficult when your using a software. Unless you want to go an manually edit all the code, there isn’t really much you can do about it.
