So earlier today while working on the website I lost access to the file manager so I started using my FTP Client to access the server. Well just now I tried connecting to start working on the admin panel for my website and was happily greated with this.
I decided to research this and saw the pinned message and even though it says the issues have been fixed I still get them and I seem to be getting a completely unrelated error as well.
Other Information
I just started getting this issue as of 1:30 PM GMT-5 time and the last time I tried connected was 8:40 GMT-5
I’ve been working and uploading files via Filezilla but now am unable to log in via the online FTP.
Filezilla gives this error: Status: Connecting to 185.27.134.11:21…
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message…
Response: 421 6900 users (the maximum) are already logged in, sorry
Error: Could not connect to the server
The issue, for at least some of us, is much bigger than a server at max capacity. I’ve been trying to log in to the FTP every now and again to see if it’ll let me, and in the welcome message I noticed, and in below post documented, the # of concurrent users going up and up over time. It was inevitable how things were going that we’d hit the 6900 if they didn’t fix the underlying issue earlier (it’s been 7-8 hours now). What I think is happening is that login attempts are hanging for some people when the password is sent, causing the FTP session to linger until some timeout related to the TCP session expires as opposed to a graceful disconnect by the client.
When i am trying to log in to file manager from the Infinity server, I am getting Error Could not read line from socket and when I am trying to connect from FTP it is not connecting.
Other Information
I tried using other ftp clients also but it is not connecting.
