My ssl certificate is not working anymore

Hi,

Since Yesterday my website certificate doesn’t work anymore. It keeps giving self-signed certificate Warning even if i uploaded the signed certificate many times.

Is there any general issue with the hosting ?
Can you help solving this please ?

Who provide the ssl certificate?

Use cloudflare’s ssl (free of cost) or you can buy from hostinger at ?814.50+tax (as INR). Hostinger’s ssl valid for life time.

This is happening with my site too. Only the default self signed certificates are being served instead of the signed certificate.

Same https://bluimedia.com has been having this issue for more than a week now.

Try to reinstall the certificate.
It the problem persist then Email me at

Reinstalling the certificates did not help. The certificates are free from Comodo.

Is it a free ssl or paid ssl?

What is the domain you installed the certificate on?

i have a comodo ssl certificate.
My domain is *.th3nest.com
i tried to reinstall the certificate but it keeps giving me warning. Only the default self signed certificate is served. don’t know why.

thanks

I’m sorry, but wildcard SSL certificates cannot be used at the moment. Any SSL certificate must be signed for the exact domain name.

The system started to work like it should? I don’t know why it worked before, wildcard SSL certificates have never worked as far as I know.

No, you only need one certificate per domain, not per subdirectory. You only need to have a certificate for th3nest.com (which also protects www.th3nest.com and th3nest.com/wp/ ).

But you just said the certificate was for *.th3nest.com, not th3nest.com. The first is a wildcard certificate, which is not supported. The second one is.

If you are sure your SSL certificate is not a wildcard certificate, can you please paste the exact error message you see when trying to upload it? There are hundreds of different messages you could see when uploading a certificate, and I need to know which one you see to be able to help you.
