Site down after removing cloudfare CNAME

My website URL is: caretotalkshow[dot]com

What I’m seeing is:

This site can’t be reached

caretotalkshow[dot]com ’s server IP address could not be found.

After realizing that I was not receiving roundcube webmail emails (only able to send), I read in the knowledge forum that I needed to disable and remove Cloudfare from the CNAME. Then my website stopped working, first with an error about DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN. Now I get the error message above. The good news is that my email accounts are working again, but how do I get my website back up?

I checked that the servernames are correct. Other than that, the discussion posts suggest that it just takes time. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do.

Thanks, GaryKR

If you want to disable Cloudflare integration, you need to do it from the “CloudFlare” section of the Control Panel for your domain, as removing the CNAME records from the “CNAME Records” session isn’t enough. If you already disabled it and if still doesn’t work try to remove and re-add the domain again, and then download with a FTP client the htdocs folder to the Desktop and upload the contents of it to caretotalkshow.com/htdocs with the same FTP client you used to do that operation.

I did disable Cloudfare in the Cloudfare section of the CPanel as well.

Here’s what is now listed as the domains:

Should re-do the first one with a 0 priority and/or remove the other?

I am new to this and have used FTP software before, but want to avoid doing that if I can – at least waiting 48 hours to see if the problem resolves during that time?

Appreciate your help. Happy new year.

It looks like the DNS records were wrong. I enabled and disabled Cloudflare for your domain, and that seems to have restored the correct DNS records.

Please note that it can take up to 48 hours for your website to be visible everywhere due to DNS caching.

What a relief. Thank you very much.
