and then askes me to verify myself by installing some kind of browser extension
looks like adware got hcked into something
what are you talking about?
Can you please clarify what you see exactly that makes you say the site is down? There are thousands of reasons why a site could be considered “down”, so it would help a lot if you can clarify which of those things you see.
