Hi I just started my site, with my own domain, and have been trying to get SSL error 525 to go away. Now that I found this form, I know that’s on my end. I’m just looking for an update for about how long you guys think it will be until the issue will be resolved.
The full fix will probably take a while. It could take months. It’s highly recommended to implement one of the workarounds instead of waiting for us to fix this issue.
I can still access my website, and I use WordPress… However, after going through the steps for SSL it was approved, I did all that was required. I still don’t have SSL and it now says my CNAME Is Not Ready… However, I got the Key, and Certificate earlier. But now, did it change its mind?

if you want ssl for your site, you might consider using CloudFlare.
They provide free flexible ssl without setting anything up.
Plus, it’s automatically do the transfer for you.

Please note that an SSL certificate does absolutely nothing to prevent your website from getting hacked. It protects your visitors from their connections being intercepted and their connection to your site from being spied on or manipulated. If your website code has a security vulnerability, you need to make sure you are running the patch if available, or have implemented the suggested mitigation.
