SSL Timescale

I have generated and uploaded an InfinityFree SSL certificate and getting the “Valid SSL Certificate is Installed” message but when trying the page with https:// it is not secure.

Whats the timescale for these to take effect?

It is saying insecure because you did not request a trusted certificate. Go through the issuance process again but request GoGetSSL or ZeroSsl

Thanks, didn’t notice that. was too excited about the 10 year life instead of the 3 months.

Any suggestions of any free / cheap SSL that you don’t have to redo every 90 days?

If you buy a custom domain name, you can connect it to Cloudflare and use the 10 year certificate.

Sorry. Totally self taught on the web site malarkey so not always sure with the terminology

I have a “Paid For” domain name with Reg123 that is now “parked” with this account.

Do I need to set SSL with both accounts and which should I use with the Reg123 account.

Whatever domain name will be in the address bar of your users should have an SSL certificate installed. If you have a custom domain, follow the guide linked below to setup Cloudflare, and SSL. Do let me know if you have any questions!
