How do I set a stock limit amount on each individual item in my eCommerce site?
So if I have any one off pieces in stock of a certain shirt in my eCommerce clothes website, how do I set this?

Hi, first of all what is your eCommerce website runs on? Wordpress? Shopify? AbanteCart?
Every diffrent platform has its own ways to do that and please refer to their documentation for further information.
Sorry, but I’m a complete novice when it comes to anything computer-y. How would I find this out??

You installed some kind of ecommerce software right? There must be tutorials and guides available for that software on the internet, written by people who know a lot about that specific ecommerce suite.
You’ll be surprised how much you can find out on your own in a short period of time with a few search engine searches!
I’m not really sure what I’ve done to be honest- but I know I haven’t downloaded any software yet. At the moment I’m just using the infinity-free platform. I’m using the site builder to make an eCommerce store for a domain. It says its directory is htdocs (don’t know if that means anything). I’ve added a few separate items to the store front, and I noticed that in the preview I could add infinite amounts of each product to my basket. This is where i’m stuck-especially as one of these pieces is a one off. I’ve looked through the settings and options pages but I cant seem to find anywhere where I can edit the stock amounts. Have I missed something or am I just being really stupid???

So let me get this clear, You’re using Infinity Builder to build your Ecommerce store? Right?
And you did not install any other scripts/programs for it?
Well, the most important thing you missed is that there are many ways to create ecommerce site on InfinityFree. You used the site builder for that, but that’s just one of many ways to create an ecommerce site.
The ecommerce system from the site builder does not have stock control features, so you cannot limit stock with it. However, you can also install specialized ecommerce software like Prestahop or AbanteCart on your website through Softaculous, which has a lot more features for online stores than the site builder. So if the site builder lacks features you need, you can probably find software which is more suitable!
Ahhh! I see! It makes sense now, how would I go about downloading these? are they free?

You can find many ecommerce scripts in the Softaculous Apps Installer in the control panel of your hosting account. Most of the software in there is free and the apps installer allows you to install it to your website in a few clicks.
Wow, Thanks very much for all your help.
