Probably this is a error. This error is commonly known as white screen of death. If you are using WordPress, try getting the solution in codex. If you want to do it yourself, then deactivate all the themes and plugins except the default one, see if the site works. Then if the site works, probably one of the Plugins or themes are causing issues. Activate them one by one to caught the faulty one
