I know that infinityfree recommends doing manual backups via FTP, but I notice that it just takes a lot of time and sometimes I don’t want to be on the computer every time I want my site to be backed up.
Something like CBackup uses FTP to backup your site so it shouldn’t slow down your site like using backup plugins and scripts. It can also be synced to a cloud drive (like Google drive) either manually or you can schedule it.
It should be fine. Please do note that there are fair usage restrictions on the FTP server, but as long as you’re not pulling in huge backups every day you should be fine.
Only thing to note is that such a backup doesn’t include database contents.
