Wordpress does not Install

Hello,

I am trying to install but it will not allow me.

See screenshot. Please suggest solution.

Thanks

Can’t upload screenshots.

Basically I click on the Install Now button and I can see javascrtip.tabs.tab(install) in the status bar, but it does not go any further.

Are you installing through Softaculous?
Anyway, have you tried clearing your browser’s cache and then trying again?

Yes I am trying through Softaculous. Will just try to clear all cache and see if that works

So I cleared the cache and I am trying the installation again. Now it asks me configuration details for WP. Does that mean, it has already been installed?

But before that I have another issue. I read that the Free Hosting comes with a Free SSL. I want to configure my WP installation with the https. So how do I configure the free SSL to my account?

Thanks

I came across this post -https://forum.infinityfree.com/discussion/2149/free-ssl-certificate-providers-that-can-be-used-with-infinityfree

Does that mean Free SSL doesn’t work anymore with Free Hosting package.

I decided to write an article on forums so just follow my steps.

  1. Cloudflare
  2. Sign Up for Infinityfree
  3. Transfer your domain to Infinityfree by changing nameservers
  4. Sign Up for Cloudflare
  5. Transfer your domain to Cloudflare by changing nameservers
  6. Your Site will not affected by changing nameservers
  7. Goto Crypto and SSL security and select Flexiable

Congrats it’s enable! Hope you enjoy!

@Ranakhas

I followed your instructions till - Cloudfare Signup.

  • Then it asked me for a domain name and I provided the same
  • then I chose the Free Plan
  • Now where do I find the name server details for Cloudfare, that I need to replace in my Domain server?

ok found them in help

Will just update and check back.

The nameservers have been configured. But now I get an error

An MX record was not found for your root domain. An MX record is required for mail to reach @interactivegdpr.online addresses.

I checked my domain server DNS area. There are no MX records as of yet. And I have not configure any email for my domain yet. So do I need to do that first?

Do not select Flexible as @Ranakhas said, it breaks WordPress.
Select the full option instead, and also instead of this whole proccess you could have used the 1-Click CloudFlare enabled in cpanel, it is not your fault as you didn’t know but I am just telling you for the future.
Good Luck!

Selected the Full option, basically it was the default.

Also got the detail to add the MX record in CloudFlare - https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/218069617-How-do-I-add-or-edit-mail-or-MX-records-

Also came across the Cloud Flare option in cPanel under software.

It seems like I have configured the SSL? How do I temp check the site url with https?

Ok so I have configured the SSL, it seems, atleast at the CloudFlare end. When I go to the WP setting and choose Protocol as - https://. I get the following error -

A trusted SSL Certificate was not found

So how do I check the SSL installation?

Note that Cloudflare takes up to 24 hours to set up the certificate for a domain.

@ Admin

Got that. Let me check back in 24 hrs.

Thanks

@Admin
So I checked my sites and it gives me a GreenLock Secure sign. But when I go to install WordPress it gives me the same error i.e
A trusted SSL Certificate was not found
Further suggestions?

Ignore this message and proceed, I had it also and nothing happened.
It is caused becuase you have no SSL installed directly at your origin server, CloudFlare ones are served thorugh CloudFlare and are not installed in the origins server (InfinityFree).

So finally after the SSL and Login Error issues resolved - WP has been installed.

Thanks everyone for all the help.
