i was trying to make a website using wordpress but then it showed this.

  • The maximum number of databases you can create has been reached, so installation cannot proceed.

I thought the databases were unlimited too. Odd, Softaculous appears to disagree.

I’ll have someone look into why this happens.

I’ve been told that this is an intentional restriction from iFastNet. I’m also confused as to why they say they offer unlimited databases and then limit it to 20 for Softaculous.

So this is not a bug which can be fixed. But what you can do is:

  • Cleanup your database list and remove the ones you don’t need anymore (many look like they have been generated by Softaculous, but you don’t have as many installations in Softaclous).
  • Create the database manually through the control panel and install WordPress by hand (which is also quite easy).
