Cannot connect to MySQL database

Hello,

I am trying to connect to a database using Android Studio that I have set up using phpmyadmin. I created a subdomain and have a php file in there to connect to through my java program, (url = mysubdomain.com/myPhpFile.php) when I try to run my program I receive an error saying

Value <script of type java.lang.String cannot be converted to JSONObject

when I try to get the response of my php file. I am assuming that the response that I get is actually an HTML error code which is why I cannot connect to it.

I know my php file is correct since I have tried this with another site I have a database on.

Please try to help me connect to my database.

And the only recommendation I can do is to upgrade your account, because you simply cannot connect your Android app with a website hosted here.
