Can't create subdomain

I have a domain already working under username epiz_21445054. I want to add the subdomain “mail” but every time I try to add, there is an error “Invalid Domain, please check your input. .10”. The problem is with this subdomain “mail”. I can, however, add other subdomains like “webmail”. There was no problem adding “webmail”, but why can’t I add “mail” subdomain?

The mail subdomain is reserved and cannot be used for your own website.

It is for my own domain. It is not for other free domains. I own the domain. Why can’t I use a subdomain of my own domain?

You can’t use the subdomain because it’s reserved in the system. If we decide to ever do whitelabel email domains (so you can use mail.example.com for your mail server instead of mx.epizy.com), then it gets very complicated for us if people already use the subdomain for a website. Because of that, we have reserved several keyword subdomains.

Ok. I had removed the CNAME record of mail subdomain 2 or 3 days back. But why did the nameserver ns1.byet.org still report the CNAME record is still there? The picture is as shown when doing DNS lookup at mxtoolbox.com. https://flic.kr/p/22HxyNF

I checked your domain, but it’s pointing to Cloudflare’s nameservers, not ours. So any DNS records you set through the control panel will not be reflected on your domain.
