Trying the validator W3C and found that the error messages are from a html file that I have already deleted. Checked file manage and it is not there anymore. How to fix this?

That’s probably a problem with W3C’s server validators (if you’re using this:https://validator.w3.org/), their server might still have cached the old version of your site before you deleted and made some changes to your code. If this is the case then the only way to fix this is to wait until W3C’s servers cache will be cleared/expired.
Also I don’t really know how W3C’s validator works in the background, if they will use their servers to fetch your site and scan then it’s likely to be a cache issue with their servers.
