This process, is unworkable, and not fit for purpose… Every Joomla add on I try to install, I get the same error message, whether I install from the web, a file, a folder, the moon, carrier pigeon, the full gambit…

Error connecting to the server: Proxy CONNECT aborted - Error Invalid URL Unable to find install package

Please can somebody actually make this platform remotely accessible, I’m losing the will to live here, with this rotten platform, where nothing works, and the support is awful…

Rather than posting the same issue over and over again, could you please clearly explain the current situation and the desired situation (and include things like URLs) so we can try to give you clear instructions how to get to the desired situation?
