This morning, my first load was a very quick 1.5 seconds. Just the one Google Translation Plugin, and nothing else. Poseidon WP theme. So, unless someone else pulled up the site before me this morning, I feel like your advice was solid, and resulted in a quick load. Thanks. I’ll do the same in coming days to make sure the fast first load is not just a fluke.
