I am not a professional web developer.
I have uploaded using filezilla to the mentioned root folder in home folder mentioned in control panel, a website made from Mobirise4 client, files show in server folders but when i go to my free domain, its not what i see, it shows the welcome site by infinity. i have tried with the mobirise ftp client too, files show but site it infinity default page.
I have followed every instruction i can find related to this including the infinity instructions, but i cant see my website. my domain shows the infinity welcome page.
whats really happening here? could some body help guide me in the right direction with this please?
Default index.html can’t be edited, delete it first and then upload yours.
that does not work either, deleted it tried again, files are there but not working,
i have deleted 2 hosting accounts and created new accounts, i have never got the website builder to work, i can log in to ftp from filezilla, i cant see a welcome page anymore, this is the new host account. the whole thing is a mess now, even a fresh host now is not working anymore.
my sitebuilder cant find the page 404 error after i started a new accnt
last try, i tried to install wordpress and it said installed successful, but again its 404 cannot find
Where did you upload it to?
If you uploaded it to the Root Folder (it has a filed called DO NOT UPLOAD FILES HERE in it), then you wont be able to see your site.
If you upload it to htdocs folder, it should be visible.
Otherwise you need to wait 48 hours for DNS propagation.

I checked your currently active account and there is nothing there. No MobiRise files, no WordPress files, no Softaculous installations.
I’m happy to take a look at this issue, but I do need something more than a fresh account to actually look at what happened.

The better question is why are you using FTP site for something you can use a client (Filezilla) for? Is this supposed to be a public space?
