What error do you get? It might not be an MySQL issue, but a misconfiguration in your file.
The current limit is 9 concurrent connections per user. But people rarely hit that. Our main database metric is about database server processor time usage, which is much more affected by the queries you do than the number of connections.
Like others have said, can you clarify what you see? Do you get any error messages? Do you even check for error messages? Can you share a code snippet. How sure are you that this is database related at all?
