I’m new to this forum but I was wondering if there is the possibility to use PHP8? Within the account settings I can only select up to PHP7.4.

As you see, PHP 8.0 will be added, but we don’t know when. PHP 7.4 should be fine.

In addition, I should add that it is generally best to wait a year at least until most of the security bugs are found and patched. The last thing you want is a professional and commercial hosting site to go down because someone found out how to exploit the PHP systems to harm them, or have one of the websites they host be hacked because someone found out a vulnerability and exploited it, thus wrecking that website owner’s hard work, leading to an angry customer.
